Damage Vaporizers: How to get the BEST score in ARC Raiders Trials
To damage Vaporizers effectively:
- Load into a map with the “Close Scrutiny” Event active
- You’ll find Vaporizers spawning sometimes in small groups in the sky
- There’s almost always a Vaporizers guarding or spawning on the Assessor
- Hit the weak point repeatedly with something like the Jupiter
- Utilize cover between each shot to avoid being killed immediately
- Wait for the Vaporizers barrier to drop, and finish it off with a Wolfpack
- You’ll earn around 3600~ score per Vaporizer.
In this guide, we’ll go over the best ways to approach and damage Vaporizers to maximize your score and etch your place in the Speranza hotshots.
Preparing for the ARC Raiders Damage Vaporizers Trial
This trial can be done in all party sizes to an effective level. Whether that’s gaining your 3-star rating (which requires a 4000 score) or pushing to maximize your points for promotion.
Scoring
The scoring for this Trial comes from damaging Vaporizers. Each Vaporizer fully damaged and destroyed by you or your party nets around 3600~ score during the Close Scrutiny event.
What you’ll need
For this Trial, the objective requires you to damage Vaporizers. For this to be effective, you’ll need a powerful ARC-killing weapon, explosives, consumables and more. We recommend bringing:
- Bringing two
Jupiter is advised for maximum damage to large ARC weak points - 5-8 stacks of
Energy Clips (you can collect more from destroyed Vaporizers) - Ideally bring a
Survivor MK.3 to carry slots of expensive but must-have quick-use items 
Medium Shield to tank more of the Vaporizer damage- At least 10
Shield Rechargers - 10+
Bandages and/or 
Herbal Bandages - 10
Adrenaline Shot 
Photoelectric Cloak or 
Smoke Grenades to avoid awkward situations 
Wolfpacks (as many as you want to bring)- A secondary weapon to deal with potential players or smaller ARC, like the
Renegade or an 
Anvil (and their respective ammo)
Can I use a Free Loadout for the Damage Vaporizers weekly Trial?
It is not advised to attempt this on a Free Loadout, unfortunately. If you’re lucky or have a party member willing to drop you weapons and explosives that’s okay. However, a Free Loadout does not have enough firepower and medical consumables to push this Trial.
Should I use aggression-based matchmaking for friendly lobbies?
Yes, we also highly recommend utilizing this method for friendly lobbies as it yields consistently safe results.
Map
For this weekly trial, you can enter any map with the Close Scrutiny 2x event active. However, we recommend a map such as Buried City due to the amount of natural cover you have to work with. Check our Event Timers to know when your next chance is!
The BEST strategy for Maximizing Score
Our preferred spots for this Trial center around almost any building that’s around an Assessor spawn, with access to various windows, rooftops and openings. There is no real specific spot (although we’ll update this as we continue to optimize further) to improve the effectiveness of the general strategy.
How to deal with the Vaporizer
First, it’s important to be focusing on the weak point of the Vaporizer where possible with your Jupiter. As seen in the image below, center-mass or just above it deals maximum damage to the Vaporizer. As a result, be sure to aim for this spot with your Jupiter.
It is VERY important to not be greedy when it comes to damaging the Vaporizer. If you stay out of cover too long, you’ll almost always be at risk of dying fast. This is why it’s recommended to utilize nearby buildings to peek between windows and walls to take shots and reposition. You’ll almost always want a safe spot inside a building to avoid the Vaporizer for a bit.
The Vaporizers have a self-defense barrier system that can be deployed at any time. When you see this barrier up, do not use items such as the Wolfpack, as the barrier just absorbs it. Instead, utilize either high fire-rate weapons or just blast the Vaporizer with Jupiter in your squad until you break the barrier. Once it’s gone, you can easily destroy the Vaporizer with a Wolfpack.
Close Scrutiny Assessor
The Assessors that spawn on the map during the Close Scrutiny event are usually completely swarmed with Vaporizers. You can at times find 3-5 of them there at the same time. Be very careful, however, it’s a full warzone.
Due to this type of situation, find a nearby house to get safe angles from is key.
Solo or Squad
Currently, we believe this strategy is universal across all party sizes, however, keep checking back as we refine strategies and potentially uncover more efficient methods.
Fast 3-Star Rewards and Alternative Options for the ARC Raiders Damage Vaporizers Trial
To gain a 4000 score for the 3-Star Rewards:
- Spawn in on Buried City with the Close Scrutiny event active
- Head towards the closest Assessor while looking out for potential isolated Vaporizers
- Once you find one to engage, head into a building of your choice and begin to aggro it from the windows
- Bait out the barrier from the Vaporizer, once the barrier drops – Wolfpack and destroy it
- After the first fully damaged Vaporizer, you’ll be at around 3600~ score, meaning you only need to chip away at a second Vaporizer for 4000 score, wait out and de-aggro the ARC and leave for your rewards!
