640Mechanical Components are a refined material used to craft, repair, and upgrade a variety of items, especially weapons. They are also essential for upgrading the Gunsmith.
You can obtain Mechanical Components by scavenging in the environment or by defeating specific ARCs like the 
Bastion, 
Bombardier, 
Leaper, and 
Shredder. Additionally, you can craft them at the Refiner by combining salvage materials.
