Search Supply Drops: How to get the BEST score in ARC Raiders Trials
Trials in ARC Raiders brings together the community to complete various challenges week by week to be placed on a competitive leaderboard. Raiders are tasked with participating in 5 different Trials (which rotate into a new set of Trials every week too), the goal is simple – gain as much score as possible in each Trial objective in an attempt to promote in Trial Rank. Of course, plenty of Raiders only want to cash in their quick 4000 score for the 3-Star rewards each week too. In this guide, we’ll go over the best ways to Search Supply Drops to maximize your score (or get your fill and get out) and etch your place in the Speranza Hotshots.
Trial Preparation
This trial can be done in all party sizes to an effective level, whether that’s gaining your 3-star rating (which requires 4000 score) or pushing to maximize your points for promotion.
Scoring
The scoring for “Search Supply Drops” is simple. Every Supply Drop you interact with awards you with 1600 score. It is important to note that you do not have to be the one to call in the Supply Drop – if it’s already looted, searching it still counts! As a result, always make sure to interact with any Supply Drop you see.
What you’ll need
For this Trial, the objective requires you to Search Supply Drops as much as possible within the raids time limit. As a result, you’ll mostly need essentials for survival. Technically, you also do not have to bring a weapon in, however, it is still good to have incase you run into a ton of ARC. We recommend bringing:
- Anvil IV (Can be Anvil I but IV is preferred for the Fire Rate, however, a weapon isn’t required)
- Tactical MK.2
- Light Shield
- 10 Shield Rechargers
- 10-15 Bandages
- 80 Heavy Ammo
- 10-15 Adrenaline Shots
- 2-5 Smoke Grenades
Most of the above can be tweaked to your preference, however, this set-up ensures you can move around the map, effectively deal with all ARC threats and cover yourself should an opponent get the jump on you.
Map
The best map to push for the maximum score possible is Dam Battlegrounds with the Electromagnetic Storm 2x modifier. However, this method should work with any 2x modifier.
The BEST way to Maximize Score or get a Fast 3-star 4000 Score
Supply Drops in general as a Trial is very RNG reliant. As a result, there is not a consistent route to ensure a perfect run. However, the best advice we can give is to follow the interactive map for Supply Drop spawns and move between each one to check if they’re up.
Dam Battlegrounds is home to the most Supply Drop spawn locations in the game. As a result, it is our map of choice when attempting to gain the most points. You’ll know when a Supply Drop has spawned by checking your map in-game, but also there’ll be a small antenna with a computer attached to it. Interacting with the computer fires off a huge flare that the whole map can see. Shortly after, a Supply Drop lands from the sky in the location the flare flew to.
As previously mentioned, the flare that the Supply Drop sets off into the sky is very noticeable. As a result, be on the lookout as you may want to go and search it later!
Trio Splitting
Splitting in Trios is an option to check as many spawns as possible, as fast as possible. However, again due to the RNG nature of this Trial, it likely won’t impact too much.
Ultimately, we expect this Trial to NOT impact your weekly score outcome and is better off used to get your 3-star rewards. Although, sometimes when the scores on the leaderboard come down to the wire, this could help.
