Where to Find Cooling Fans in ARC Raiders
The Cooling Fan in ARC Raiders is a rare component needed for Part 2 of the Expedition Project to build your Caravan. You can find Cooling Fans inside Technological Loot Zones, with the Space Travel Building in Buried City being the most reliable location to farm them quickly.
Why You Need Cooling Fans
During Part 2/6 of the Caravan build — Connecting Wiring, Ventilation, and Power Systems — you must gather:
- 35× Durable Cloth
- 30× Wires
- 30× Electrical Components
- 5× Cooling Fans
Cooling Fans are the rarest part of this stage, making targeted farming essential.
Step 1: Head to the Space Travel Building (Buried City)
The best place to find Cooling Fans is in Technological Zones, and the most reliable of these is the Space Travel Building in Buried City — the same building visited during the Greasing Her Palms quest.

Because this area is a high-value loot zone, it attracts many players. So we recommend trying to be one of the first raiders there and also bringing a reliable close-range weapon, such as a Stitcher.
In case you encounter other raiders in the tight spaces like the corridors and small rooms.
Step 2: Use the Roof Zipline to Secure Loot Before Other Raiders
Once you enter the Buried City map, head directly to the Galleria rooftop. Here you will see a zipline pre setup which takes you to the Space Travel roof.
Simply get on this and zip across, then look to your right and go into that entrance point. Which takes you down a set of stairs, you will see this is floor 6. With 2 lootable rooms and a barricaded door.
Step 3: Clear Floor 6, Then Work Down Through the Building
Now its a simple, start on Floor 6 and open every breachable container that is here. Then, move down through the next two floors and search all shelves, boxes, and tech crates.
The reason why we recommend looking all breachable containers, is that Cooling Fans share spawn pools with other rare tech items which you will probably need later on for your workbenches or quests.
We noticed these containers frequently give you:
Across multiple runs, this floor alone consistently produced 1–2 Cooling Fans per visit.
Step 4: Extract Quickly Through the Parking Garage
Now you have what you need, you can make either decision, travel to the Research Building and have a low chance of finding even more.
Or take advantage of the best thing about this spot. The fact the Parking Garage Extraction Point is directly beside the Space Travel Building.
This means you can jump in, loot as much as you need then extract instantly. Which allows for rapid, repeated runs — perfect for farming Cooling Fans for yourself and your squad.
