Where to Find Celestium Ore in Enshrouded
Celestium Ore is mined in Cinder’s Cradle, and the easiest place to farm it is the Ancient Gate mines, where three low-mob spots sit on one short route. You need a steady supply of Celestium Ore for Celestium Bars, the material behind most of the new endgame gear and furniture in the game.
The team here at MetaForge tested this route in-game after the full release launched on October 15, 2026, and every spot, enemy group, and step below comes from that recorded run. Keen Games has already shipped Hotfixes 1.0.0.1 and 1.0.0.2, and we’ll update this guide if a later patch changes the route.
Where to Find Celestium Ore in Enshrouded
Celestium Ore spawns in Cinder’s Cradle, the endgame region added to Enshrouded in the 1.0 release, far north past the Veilwater Basin gates. For farming, head to the mines just right of the Ancient Gate, above the Shroud, where two elevators and a lava cave connect three Celestium spots.

What You Need Before Farming Celestium Ore
A few preparations make the route faster and safer. Sort these out before your first run:
- Access to Cinder’s Cradle: The 1.0 changelog confirms you must unlock the next Flame Level before entering Cinder’s Cradle, which also raises the Flame Altar cap to 15. Upgrade your Flame Altar before heading north.
- A strong pickaxe: Celestium veins are mined with a pickaxe, so bring the best one you have.
- A spare Flame Altar: You place one at the start of the route so you can fast travel straight back to the mines.
- A glider: The approach from the Shroud below ends with a jump and a glide across to the altar ledge, so keep your Glider equipped.
- Combat-ready gear: Two of the three spots are guarded by Ancients, so bring a weapon and armor set suited to Cinder’s Cradle.
- Free inventory space: You also pick up Archaic Shards and Gold Ore along the way, so empty your bags before you set out.

How to Farm Celestium Ore near the Ancient Gate
The route links three Celestium spots in one loop, with the biggest haul saved for last. Follow the steps in order, since each spot leads directly into the next.
Spot 1: top of the first elevator
This spot holds only two chunks of ore, but it sits directly on the way to the larger veins.
- Climb out of the Shroud: Come up from the Shroud below the mines, jump onto the ledge, and glide across to the flat section near the path.
- Place your Flame Altar: Build it on this section so every future run starts here instead of in the Shroud.
- Ride the first elevator: Walk up the path to the first elevator and take it to the top.
- Clear the three Ancients: Defeat the three Ancients waiting at the top before you start mining.
- Mine the first ore: Collect the two chunks of Celestium Ore, then head for the second elevator.

Spot 2: the small mine above the second elevator
This is where most of your ore comes from. The small mine at the top holds a large cluster of Celestium veins.
- Go up the second elevator: Ride the elevator platform, or run straight up the slope beside it if you don’t want to wait.
- Clear the scorpion Ancients: Defeat the small, scorpion-like Ancients patrolling the top.
- Loot the area: Grab the loot scattered around the top for Archaic Shards and some Gold Ore.
- Enter the mine behind you: Turn around, head into the small mine, and mine as many veins as you need.
Example scenario (hypothetical): You only want your first Celestium Bars to unlock the recipes tied to them. In that case, mine out Spot 2 and teleport back to your altar without continuing to Spot 3.

Spot 3: the lava cave past the respawn point
The last stop has two large Celestium veins and almost no enemies. Reaching it takes a short run downhill and one jump across lava.
- Exit the mine to the left: Leave the cave and turn left onto the path outside.
- Run to the respawn point: Follow the path all the way down, running past any mobs instead of fighting them.
- Activate the respawn point: Unlock it so you have a second fast travel point next to the cave.
- Take the narrow path right: Head up the thinner path on the right toward the cave entrance ahead.
- Go right inside the cave: Take the right branch where the cave splits and jump across the lava.
- Mine both veins: Clear out the two big Celestium veins on the far side.

Celestium Ore Spots Compared
Each spot trades off travel, enemies, and ore volume differently. Use this to pick which spots to hit when you’re short on time.
| Spot | How to reach it | Enemies to clear | Celestium available | Extra loot | Nearest fast travel |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1: First elevator | Path from the altar ledge, then the first elevator | 3 Ancients | 2 chunks | None noted | Your placed Flame Altar |
| 2: Mine above second elevator | Second elevator, or run up the slope beside it | Small scorpion-like Ancients | Large cluster of veins | Archaic Shards, Gold Ore | Your placed Flame Altar |
| 3: Lava cave | Path left of the mine, past the respawn point, right fork over lava | None required | 2 large veins | None noted | Respawn point at the bottom of the path |
Short on time? Skip Spot 1 and go straight for Spots 2 and 3, where most of the ore sits.

How to Smelt Celestium Ore into Celestium Bars
You smelt Celestium Ore into Celestium Bars at the Blast Furnace. Each batch uses 20 Celestium Ore and 40 Coal and produces 20 Celestium Bars, so every ore becomes one bar as long as you keep twice as much Coal in your storage chests.
If you haven’t built a Blast Furnace yet, these steps cover the full chain:
- Get the Bellows: The Blast Furnace needs Bellows, which our guide to getting Steel Bars walks through.
- Build the Blast Furnace: Craft it through Oswald Anders, the Blacksmith, using 20 Fired Bricks, 1 Bellows, 10 Lump of Clay, 10 Iron Bars, and 30 Sand. Cinder’s Cradle Sand works in place of regular Sand.
- Stock up on Coal: Mine Coal mainly in Albaneve Summits, and don’t confuse it with the Charcoal made in a Charcoal Kiln.
- Queue the batch: Load your ore and Coal, select Celestium Bars as the recipe, and let the furnace run.
Example scenario (hypothetical): Say you return from a loop with 60 Celestium Ore. That’s three batches, so load 120 Coal before starting the furnace to get all 60 Celestium Bars.

What Celestium Bars Are Used For
Most Celestium Ore ends up as Celestium Bars, which go into the bulk of the endgame crafting added in 1.0:
- Weapons: Late-game swords, bows, shields, and arrows, including the Dragon Sword, Draconian Bow, and Celestium Arrow.
- Armor: Full endgame sets such as Crestflame, Emberguard, and Flame Arcanist.
- Tools: The Celestium Pickaxe and Celestium Axe.
- Spells: Eternal-tier spells such as Eternal Blizzard II and Eternal Shock Totem.
- Building and furniture: Ancient and Golden building pieces, Celestium tableware, Meteorite Showcases, and functional pieces like the Infusion Altar.
Obtaining your first Celestium Bars unlocks many of these recipes, so smelt your first batch as soon as you get back to base.

Put Your Celestium to Work in Cinder’s Cradle
With a Flame Altar at the mines and a Blast Furnace at base, you can farm and smelt Celestium on repeat. Craft the Celestium Pickaxe first to speed up future runs, then build the armor and weapons you need for the tougher parts of Cinder’s Cradle.
FAQs
Which Enshrouded quest sends you to mine Celestium Ore?
The Gathering Celestium side quest sends you to mine Celestium Ore in Enshrouded. Oswald Anders, the Blacksmith, gives the quest, marks a Celestium mine in Cinder’s Cradle on your map, and rewards you with Celestium Ore and 225 XP once you reach the mine and gather ore.
Can you get Celestium Ore in Enshrouded without mining it?
Yes, Celestium Ore in Enshrouded can drop from chests instead of being mined. MetaForge’s database lists Wooden Chests at up to 30% per roll, Locked and Silver Chests up to 27%, Sarcophagi up to 9.1%, and Golden Chests up to 8.4%, though mining stays faster for bulk.
Where else can you find Celestium Ore deposits in Cinder’s Cradle?
Celestium Ore deposits appear throughout Cinder’s Cradle, not only in the mines beside the Ancient Gate. Open the Enshrouded Interactive Map to find veins nearer your base or current objective, though the Ancient Gate mines remain the most efficient option because they group three spots with few enemies.
Map markers are a guide only, so treat them as estimates, as deposits in your own world may not match exactly.
How much Celestium Ore can you carry in one Enshrouded inventory slot?
One inventory slot holds 250 Celestium Ore in Enshrouded, and Celestium Bars stack to the same 250 limit. At 20 ore per Blast Furnace batch, a full stack covers twelve batches of Celestium Bars, leaving 10 raw ore spare for Sparkling Dust or Ancient Beacon Blocks.
What can you craft directly from raw Celestium Ore in Enshrouded?
Besides Celestium Bars, raw Celestium Ore crafts Sparkling Dust and the Ancient Beacon Block. Sparkling Dust takes one each of Diamond, Moonstone, Celestium Ore, and Mother-Of-Pearl at the Mill, while the Ancient Beacon Block needs 3 Celestium Ore, 3 Magma Gel, and 4 Cinder Rock at a Workbench.
