The Wild Hunt Quest Guide: How to Get Dragonwilds Mount
The Wild Hunt Quest Guide: How to Get the Dragonwilds Mount
You can get the newly added mount in Runescape: Dragonwilds by completing The Wild Hunt, a quest introduced in the recent Fellhollow update. Since the map is getting significantly larger and the terrain in the newer zones is quite vertical, having a mount is basically a requirement if you want to avoid spending most of your playtime just running between points of interest.

Getting Started with Vannaka
To start the quest, you need to travel to the Fellhollow region. You are looking for an NPC named Vannaka, who acts as the primary contact for this hunt.

Before you head out, I’d suggest checking your inventory for materials to build a Lodestone. If you place one near Vannaka before you leave, you can teleport back as soon as you have the items.
It’s a small bit of prep that saves about ten minutes of walking later on. Talk to Vannaka, and he will task you with hunting three Nature Spirits to claim their Primordial Hearts.
Location 1: Witchwillow Range
The first spirit is located within the Witchwillow Range. This area is fairly dense with trash mobs, but my advice is to just ignore them. If you follow the main route we’ve marked, you can usually outrun their aggro range without much trouble.

Once you arrive at the clearing, the Nature Spirit will spawn. It isn’t a particularly difficult fight, but it has a few knockback mechanics to watch out for. Slay the spirit and loot your first Primordial Heart. You might see a prompt suggesting you talk to other NPCs about the heart, but don’t bother yet. Vannaka is the only one who can actually progress the quest, and he won’t do anything until you have all three hearts in your bag.

Location 2: Dragon’s Run
The second spirit is found in Dragon’s Run. This zone is a bit more dangerous due to the elite mobs patrolling the area. As you enter the zone, you will see a large dragon stationed off to your right.

While it’s a decent fight if you’re looking for high-end loot, I suggest avoiding it for now if your goal is just the mount. You can stay to the far left of the path and bypass the dragon’s detection range entirely.

The second nature spirit is located just past this point in a small grove. Defeat it, claim the second heart, and prepare for the longest leg of the trip.

Location 3: Hope’s Fall
The final heart is located in the far northern reaches of Hope’s Fall. This is arguably the most annoying part of the quest because of the environmental hazards. The ground is covered in patches of corruption that apply a ticking debuff if you stand in them for too long.

I personally recommend using the Windstep ability here as often as the cooldown allows. It’s the most efficient way to leap over the corruption patches and keep your health high.

There are several paths you can take, but taking the direct route through the center is the fastest if you’re confident in your movement. Locate the final spirit, finish the fight, and pick up the third Primordial Heart.

Finishing the Quest and Claiming the Mount
With all three Primordial Hearts in your inventory, use the Lodestone you built earlier (or trek back the old-fashioned way) to return to Vannaka in Fellhollow.

Hand over the hearts, and the quest will be marked as complete. You’ll receive the mount immediately. It makes a noticeable difference in how quickly you can complete daily tasks and navigate the Fellhollow wilds.
