How to Craft Mystic Cloth in RuneScape: Dragonwilds
To craft Mystic Cloth, you need to process Mystic Thread at a Spinning Wheel, which itself requires farming Mystic Fibers from mage mobs. This is a multi-tier crafting process that can be a bit time-consuming for casual players because of the sheer volume of materials required. Since you need multiple cloths for a single piece of armor and even more thread for weapons, it’s best to settle in for a bit of a grind near the library in Dowdun Reach where the easiest mobs spawn.
The Full Crafting Chain for Mystic Materials
Understanding the conversion rates is the most important part of planning your session so you don’t end up making unnecessary trips back to your base. The process follows a strict hierarchy: Fiber becomes Thread, and Thread becomes Cloth. If you’re aiming for a full set of the new gear, you’ll be spending a significant amount of time at both the spinning wheel and the loom. It’s a dry process, but the stat boost from the resulting gear is usually worth the effort.

Gathering Fibers from Library Acolytes
Before you can touch a loom, you need the raw materials dropped by mage-type mobs. The Acolytes near the Dowdun Reach library are the preferred target because they are often isolated.

- Cross the bridge and head up the stairs to the right to find the library grounds.
- Focus on blocking their fireball attacks; even a successful block will deal some chip damage, so don’t get careless.
- Defeat the Acolytes to collect loot bags, which contain the Mystic Fibers you need to start the process.

Converting Fiber to Thread at the Spinning Wheel
Once your inventory is full of bags, head back to your base. Open the bags to reveal your fibers, then locate your spinning wheel. This is where the first conversion happens. You need to add 4 Mystic Fibers to the spinning wheel to produce 1 Mystic Thread. Because of this 4-to-1 ratio, you’ll notice your stack of fibers disappears quite quickly, so make sure you’ve farmed enough before you start.

Using the Loom to Create Mystic Cloth
The final step takes place at the loom. Once you have your thread ready, interact with the loom to begin weaving the cloth. The recipe requires 3 Mystic Threads to create 1 Mystic Cloth. When you do the math, that means a single piece of cloth actually requires 12 raw Mystic Fibers. Since the new armor sets require multiple pieces of cloth, you should prepare yourself for several rounds of farming and refining to get everything you need.
