New ARC Raiders Expedition Requirements Are Here!
The third Expedition in ARC Raiders is almost here – and this time, Embark Studios is shaking up the ARC Raiders Expedition requirements in a big way. Instead of grinding for 3,000,000 in stash value to earn your Skill Points, you’ll now need to deal damage during the 5-day Expedition window. The sign-up window opens April 28th at 13:00 CEST / 11:00 UTC / 04:00 PT, with departure happening on May 4th.

New ARC Raiders Expedition Requirements – Damage Over Stash Value
This is the biggest change to the Expedition system since launch. In previous Expeditions, you had to hoard loot and coins to hit a stash value threshold – 5,000,000 in Expedition 1, then 3,000,000 in Expedition 2 – to max out your 5 Skill Points. That meant spending the entire window avoiding fights and stuffing your stash instead of actually playing the game.
For Expedition 3, that’s gone. Your Skill Points are now earned by dealing damage during the 5-day window. Any weapon, any gadget, any target – as long as it’s not the practice range, it counts. The specific damage thresholds haven’t been revealed yet, but they’ll be visible once the window opens and you’ve completed your Caravan.
Embark’s reasoning is pretty straightforward – grinding for monetary value wasn’t fun, and it encouraged hoarding loot instead of using it. The new system lets you actually play the game, bring your best gear into raids, and get rewarded for it.

ARC Raiders Expedition 3 Timeline and How to Sign Up
Here’s the full schedule for the third Expedition:
- Sign-up window opens: April 28th at 13:00 CEST / 11:00 UTC / 04:00 PT. You need to actively sign up during the window – completing your Caravan alone doesn’t count as signing up.
- Damage challenge window: 5 days, from sign-up opening through to departure. Deal damage with any weapon or gadget against any target (except the practice range) to earn your Skill Points.
- Departure: May 4th at 09:00 CEST / 07:00 UTC / 00:00 PT. Everyone who signed up departs automatically.
Remember, Expeditions are a personal progression – you complete them in order. If this is your first, you’ll get first Expedition rewards. If you’re on your second or third, you’ll get the corresponding rewards for that tier.

ARC Raiders Expedition 3 Rewards
Rewards are tied to your personal progression, so what you get depends on which Expedition number you’re completing. Here’s what’s on the table for the third departure:
- Patchwork Outfit (Evolved): New toggles for Helmet, Bandolier, and Leg Accessories, plus White Red and Black Green color variations.
- Scrappy Turban: A new cosmetic item added to the third Expedition rewards.
- Expedition Indicator Icon: Upgraded for each Expedition you complete.
- +12 Stash Space: Each Expedition adds 12 slots. If your base max is 280, doing all three Expeditions brings you to 316.
- Up to 5 Skill Points: Earned through the damage challenge, plus catch-up on missed points from previous Expeditions.
On top of the permanent rewards, consecutive departures stack temporary buffs. Players completing their third in a row get a 15% XP boost, 18% Scrappy materials boost, and 80% repair value increase. If you skip an Expedition window, these consecutive buffs reset.

New “Last Call” Feature for Missed Sign-Ups
If you’ve completed your Caravan but forgot to sign up during the 5-day window, you’ll get a “Last Call” pop-up the next time you log in. It gives you one more chance to sign up and depart. The catch? You won’t get any Skill Points from it – no damage challenge, no catch-up. But you’ll still receive the permanent cosmetic rewards and stash space, which is way better than missing the whole thing entirely.
