ARC Raiders Update 2.2.0 Patch Notes: Wreck Set, PvE Beta Ending, and Frigate Fixes
ARC Raiders Update 2.2.0 went live on October 20, 2026, and Embark’s official Store Update 2.2.0 post confirms it rolls out alongside the Wreck Set. You need to restart the game to download it.
It lands on the same day the PvE Beta test wraps up, and most of the patch is a cleanup pass on content from the Frozen Trail update, including the Frigate, the Emperor, Pendola Pass, and the Grappling Hook.

What Changed in Update 2.2.0
Update 2.2.0 adds no new map or weapon. The changes most likely to affect your next raid are the Frigate cargo drop fixes, the Wall Run change, and the new Turbine spawn rules.
We have updated our Event Timers page where the patch touches active map conditions.

PvE Beta Test Has Ended
The PvE Beta test, which Embark first announced in its PvE Toggle beta announcement, is over as of this update. Embark is asking how PvE compared to the usual experience, what could be improved, and how the typical PvPvE experience changed during the test.
Feedback goes to the dedicated PvE feedback channel on Discord, and a survey goes to a representative sample of players starting October 22. Watch your inbox if you played during the test.
Embark said at launch that the test was not a promise of a future PvE mode, and this post does not announce one. We will add the survey outcome here if Embark shares it.

Wreck Set
The Wreck Set is a cosmetic bundle priced at 1,600 Raider Tokens, down from 2,000 when the items are bought separately. It is built around a scavenged look, with patched armor, torn cloth, and hoses and pouches lashed on wherever there is room.
The bundle includes three items:
- Wreck outfit: The full suit, priced at 1,300 on its own.
- Scrappy helmet: A spiked, gas-masked helmet, priced at 500 on its own.
- Raider charm: A small charm, priced at 200 on its own.
The table below shows how the bundle saving works out.
| Item | Individual price | In the bundle |
|---|---|---|
| Wreck outfit | 1,300 | Included |
| Scrappy helmet | 500 | Included |
| Raider charm | 200 | Included |
| Total | 2,000 | 1,600 |
Buying the bundle saves 400 over purchasing each item separately. How long the set stays in the store is not stated.

Frigate and Emperor Fixes
Most of the gameplay entries target the Frigate, the boardable ARC vessel introduced in Frozen Trail. The three cargo drop fixes change how the final stage of the route plays out.
- Ejection: You can no longer be ejected from cargo while it falls from the Frigate.
- Knockouts: Riders are no longer instantly knocked out, and crushing applies only at the landing point and to riders inside.
- Burns: Riders no longer get burned during descent, and thruster heat affects only areas near landing.
- Emperor platforms: Moving platforms inside the Emperor no longer fall out of sync.
Our Frigate guide covers the full route, and we will update its cargo section after testing the new behavior in-game.
Frigate and Gondola Audio and Performance
Several audio and stability entries also target the Frigate, and they matter if you have been crashing in the cargo hold. Embark reduced Frigate interior memory use to address rare cargo hold crashes and fixed a memory issue that could crash players moving through it.
- Loot audio: Container open and search audio now works on the Frigate and inside the Emperor.
- Frigate engine and cannon: Distance and air absorption were retuned for better balance over range.
- Entry sequence: The Frigate entry was optimized.
- Loot spawning: Memory use was reduced to improve in-round stability.
The Ballistic Gondola also gets polish. Engine audio no longer drops out during takeoff, the takeoff preparation sound lasts longer so it does not cut off when several players board in sequence, and the door open sound no longer plays twice.
ARC Changes
Three ARC entries change how fights play out. Certain ARC were more accurate than intended against sliding players, and their aim now accounts for sliding targets.
The
Hydra now spreads its weapons across different targets as intended. Base damage was increased to stay competitive, and an issue hitting close-range targets was addressed.
ARC also react when Gondola Transceivers are interacted with. Embark does not state how strong that reaction is, so test it before relying on a Transceiver in a contested area.

Map and Turbine Spawn Changes
ARC Turbines now spawn in nearly all sessions on Buried City, Riven Tides, Blue Gate, and Spaceport, up from occasional spawns. Dam Battlegrounds goes the other way.
- Dam Battlegrounds: Turbines are removed from standard sessions and most minor map conditions, and in the remaining conditions they spawn in nearly all sessions.
- Pendola Pass: Fixes include a collision bug that could trap you inside the Fallen Emperor, a Ballistic Gondola path through the Secure Communications Mast, floating objects, snow clipping through walls, and spots where you could fall through terrain.
- Enemy presence: Pendola Pass sees a slight increase.
- Lighting: Pendola Pass and Stella Montis get improved lighting and reflections, and Frigate lighting culling is fixed on Buried City, Spaceport, and Blue Gate.
Our interactive ARC Raiders maps are the best place to check Turbine locations, and we will review them against the new spawn rules.

Movement and Grappling Hook Changes
Wall Run jump-off now requires holding backward, which reduces accidental activations. Wall climbing can also transition into ladders and ziplines.
The Grappling Hook gets the largest block of changes in the patch:
- Rappelling: Rappelling to the ground is improved.
- Auto-vaulting: Wall detection is more reliable, and it works more consistently on steep slopes.
- Ground entry: Climbing continues briefly when you start from the ground, and velocity toward the rope carries over so jumping from the ground leads into a climb.
- Steep slopes: Attaching to a rope on a steep slope enters the wall-climb state.
- Overhead ropes: The unintended landing when climbing beneath an overhead rope is fixed.
- Animations: Weapon animations no longer break if you swap weapons right after a throw, and throw animations follow up and down aim.
The Tether Launcher can now be repaired in-round, which matters if you carry one as part of a traversal kit. Plan the weight of that kit ahead of time in our Loadouts builder.
Quest Changes
“To the Skies” can now be completed on any map regardless of prior progress, and it requires only one installation location. The “Belly of the Beast” optional objective now requires the item named in its objective text.
Quest fixes also include restored gamepad focus when you use the quest tracker. We track each entry in the ARC Raiders quest database as we verify it.
UI and Reward Pass Changes
The Expedition Vault tab and its related offer are removed from the menu. Feats for the Reward Pass were rebalanced, with new ones added, some removed, and others adjusted for smoother progression.
Other interface changes worth knowing:
- Skill Tree: Node tooltips show how many levels a skill has until the node is reached, and “Add Skill Point” is now “Spend Point.”
- Weapon Bench: The button for amplified weapons now reads “Amplify” instead of “Ascend.”
- Outpost: Your Raider is hidden when you inspect or decorate furniture, and Inspect and Decorate camera rotation now requires holding the left mouse button.
- Reward Pass icon: An outdated Cred icon no longer appears in character customization for Reward Pass rewards.
If the Skill Tree label changes have you rethinking a build, our Skill Tree builder mirrors the in-game nodes. Outpost upgrade costs are tracked in the Workshop Planner.

Items, Animation, VFX, and Audio Polish
The remaining entries are smaller fixes. The Geometric Fabric Chair Design blueprint is now granted after you consume it.
- Animation: Wind animations play on the Frigate, the Vault Spring jump animation no longer sometimes fails to play, and Selfie Emotes no longer look distorted while moving.
- VFX: The Aphelion beam effect no longer appears cut off, explosion impact marks use higher-resolution visuals, and weapon firing smoke no longer sometimes disappears.
- Audio: Blunt damage and debris impact sounds are louder, Bombardier mortar firing is less loud at long distances, and the Cowboy emote has voice responses.
- Voice lines: Cassio and Celeste lines are clearer and more consistent.
Known Issues in Update 2.2.0
Embark lists the following as still open. Factor them into your session plan, especially if you are mid-quest.
- Raider Tool: It shows its default skin even when other skins are equipped.
- To The Skies: Extracting with partial progress may make the quest impossible to complete.
- When Everything Falls: Some objectives, such as “Photograph Port A,” may not complete for some players.
- Clean Hands: Losing or selling quest items, such as the Equatorial Sundial, can make the quest uncompletable.
- Ballistic Gondola: You can still die after boarding if you are downed and nearly knocked out.
- Xbox: Some players may experience instability or crashes.
- Grapple Hook: It can rarely throw you upward at high speed, and it cannot be thrown inside the Matriarch’s shield.
- ARC Reclaimers: They can occasionally fail to dock at the correct spot on the Frigate.
The quest items warning is the one to act on. Keep your Equatorial Sundial in your stash until “Clean Hands” is finished, and hold off on extracting mid-way through “To The Skies.”
