Where to Find Sentinel Cores in ARC Raiders (All Locations)
If you’re looking to craft high-tier gear, you’ll quickly discover that you need a steady supply of Sentinel Cores. These rare, high-tech components are essential for powerful workshop upgrades, most notably for upgrading your Gunsmith workbench to Level 3. Unlike scavenged plants or materials, Sentinel Cores in Arc Raiders can’t be found in boxes; they must be taken by force.
The primary way to get a Sentinel Core is by finding and destroying a Sentinel Turret, but there is also a “safe” scavenging method involving crashed ARC Couriers. This guide will show you both methods to help you hunt them down efficiently.
Recommended Preparation to get ARC Raiders Sentinel Cores
Before heading out on a turret hunt, make sure you’re equipped properly. These things hit hard and are heavily armored from the front.
- Use Safe Pockets: Sentinel Cores are valuable and you’ll want to keep them. Make sure you use a custom loadout that includes Safe Pockets via your augment. This ensures that even if you’re eliminated, your hard-earned Cores make it back to your stash.
- Bring Heavy Firepower: A standard pistol won’t cut it. Bring a gun with heavy ammo, a shotgun for CQC, or explosives like Snap Blast Grenade to deal with the turrets quickly and efficiently.

Step 1: How to Destroy Sentinel Turrets
Sentinel Turrets are tough, and will quickly zero in on you and start shooting heavy rounds back at you. Use cover effectively to bait their shots before you peak for a shot yourself. Killing a Sentinel Turret solo will take a bit of time as they can take quite a bit of damage, but if you are patient and peeking effectively, it is doable even with a Ferro
A well-placed grenade or two will also get the job done quickly. Be aware that the explosion can attract nearby ARC units and other Raiders.
Step 2: Find Sentinel Turret Locations (All Maps)
Once the turret is destroyed, it will explode and drop its loot. Here’s a quick overview of where to find them on each map.
Dam Battlegrounds
On Dam Battlegrounds, there are only a couple of spots – the most popular one is the corner of the Dam Control Tower Administration Building, next to the outside blue staircase. This is a popular location, so the Sentinel might be destroyed by the time you get there or there might be other Raiders approaching as you’re fighting the turret.
Buried City
In the Buried City, the most popular Sentinel Turret location overlooks the main plaza and the turret is perched in a tower. If you creep up to it, you can get some melee damage in with your Pickaxe tool.
Blue Gate
On Blue Gate there is one Sentinel Turret spawn in the middle of the map and another one can spawn on the North edge of the map.
Spaceport
The Spaceport is dense with high-tech defenses. Be on the lookout for turrets on the elevated gantries, rooftops, and overlooking the main launch pad and control rooms.
Step 3: Extract and Store Your Sentinel Cores in Arc Raiders Stash
Once you’ve gathered your Sentinel Core(s), don’t get greedy! Head to the nearest extraction point and leave safely. Remember, if your Cores are in your Safe Pocket, they will remain secure even if you’re eliminated before extraction.
Return to your Hideout in Speranza to store the Cores in your stash or use them immediately for that next big workshop upgrade. Good hunting, Raider!
The “Safe” Method for Sentinel Cores in Arc Raiders
If you want to avoid a direct fight with a turret, you can find Sentinel Firing Cores inside crashed ARC Couriers. While the drop rate is rare and not guaranteed, it is a safer alternative for solo players.
- Look for Black Smoke: As you explore the map, keep an eye on the horizon for pillars of black smoke rising from the ground. This indicates a fresh crash site.
- Check Your Map: ARC Couriers and Probes will automatically appear on your in-game map once you are within 50 meters of them. If you see a courier icon pop up, you’re close.
- RNG Factor: Couriers can spawn Surveyor Vaults or other high-tier loot, but they sometimes contain nothing at all. Sentinel Cores are a rare drop from these sites, but searching them is risk-free compared to taking on heavy ARC defenses.
