Damage Snitches: How to get the BEST score in ARC Raiders Trials
Trials in ARC Raiders brings together the community to complete various challenges week by week to be placed on a competitive leaderboard. Raiders are tasked with participating in 5 different Trials (which rotate into a new set of Trials every week too), the goal is simple – gain as much score as possible in each Trial objective in an attempt to promote in Trial Rank. Of course, plenty of Raiders only want to cash in their quick 4000 score for the 3-Star rewards each week too. In this guide, we’ll go over the best ways to approach and Damage Snitches to maximize your score (or get your fill and get out) and etch your place in the Speranza Hotshots.
Trial Preparation
This trial can be done in all party sizes to an effective level, whether that’s gaining your 3-star rating (which requires 4000 score) or pushing to maximize your points for promotion.
Scoring
The key to gaining score in “Damage Snitches” is to avoid shooting the white flaps off and focusing the center of the Snitches with your shots. For each Snitch on a 2x map event, you’ll earn 600 score.
What you’ll need
For this Trial, the objective requires you to Damage Snitches as much possible within the raids time limit. As a result, you’ll mostly need essentials, a good weapon for killing smaller ARC – and a ton of ammo. We recommend bringing:
- Anvil IV (Can be Anvil I but IV is preferred for the Fire Rate) and/or Renegade
- Tactical MK.2
- Light Shield
- 5 Shield Rechargers
- 10-15 Bandages
- 160+ Heavy Ammo
- 320 Medium Ammo (if you bring a Renegade, maybe less ammo if you bring both weapons)
- 5-10 Adrenaline Shots
- 2-5 Smoke Grenades
- Seeker Grenades (Optional)
- A couple of ziplines incase you need to use an improvised good spot (optional)
You can also consider bringing Jolt Mines to set-up to prevent being snuck up on.
Most of the above can be tweaked to your preference, however, this set-up ensures you can move around the map, effectively deal with all ARC threats and cover yourself should an opponent get the jump on you.
Map
The best map to push for the maximum score possible, we recommend Blue Gate with the Locked Gate 2x Modifier enabled. You can also do this on the Hidden Bunker 2x Modifier on Spaceport. Check our Event Timers to know when your next chance is!
Most people will be busy doing the Locked Gate event, but both Locked Gate and Hidden Bunker give you a 40-minute raid timer to work with. As a result, you’ll find the best results here. Blue gate also has a ton of Snitches to ping from range.
The BEST Location for Maximizing Score
Our preferred spot for this Trial is up on the top of Pilgrim’s Peak, the Northeastern side of the map. You’re pretty out of the way here, high up and very safe overall. It’s important to note that one of the Locked Gate keys comes from Pilgrim’s Peak. As a result, you may be contested. However, most players want to do the Event itself – vocalize your intentions to incoming players and you might be okay.
Being high up the tower of Pilgrim’s Peak gives you an overview of the map, this lets you hit Snitches from far away to bring them to you.
This method works both in solo play and team play. Following the above you can easily get anywhere from 20,000 – 35,000+ score. The higher end of the score depends on if you’re in a trio or solo. Playing in a party means more eyes looking out for Snitches and more people taking them down for the party. We recommend taking some time here and there to destroy Wasps and Hornets too. Typically, the map works on a specific amount of ARC spawned at any one time. As a result, removing some ARC can prompt a new spawn of a Snitch faster.
Once you’re done, you can simply extract at one of the nearby available Airshafts.
Spaceport
For Spaceport, the strategy is the same as Blue Gate. The two main spots to pick from is on top of the Launch Tower or the north-side Trench Towers. We recommend the Trench Towers, due to the Launch Tower being prone to PvP players. Set yourself up on the top (you can even bring some Barricade Kits for additional cover) and begin to damage Snitches. It is important to note you’ll require either a Key or a Zipline to get on top of the Trench Towers. You can also set up an additional Zipline between the towers to move to and from easier.
Easy way to Fast 3-star Damage Flying ARC Enemies
Much like the above strategy, your best bet is loading into any map with a 2x event modifier, such as Blue Gate on Locked Gate, finding a high vantage point and picking off Snitches there. You’ll need to take out around 7 Snitches to get the 4000+ score mark for your 3-star reward.
