Trial Preparation
This trial can be done in all party sizes to an effective level, whether that’s gaining your 3-star rating (which requires 3000 score) or pushing to maximize your points for promotion.
Scoring
The scoring for “Destroy” is simple. In this case, the Ticks Fireballs and Pops all give 300 score each on any condition. However, you have to destroy these ARC with Light Impact Grenades only.
What you’ll need
For this Trial, the objective requires destroying as many Ticks Fireballs and Pops as possible within the raids time limit with your Light Impact Grenades. As a result, you’ll mostly need essentials, the Light Impact Grenades and a decent weapon to get you out of awkward moments or player fights. We recommend bringing:
Anvil IV (Can be Anvil I but IV is preferred for the Fire Rate)
Tactical MK.2 or MK.3 (Survivor)
Light Shield- 10
Shield Rechargers - 10-15
Bandages - A stack of
Heavy Ammo - 5-10+
Adrenaline Shots - As many
Light Impact Grenades as you can fit into your inventory
Most of the above can be tweaked to your preference, however, this cheap set-up ensures you can move around the map, effectively deal with all ARC threats and cover yourself should an opponent get the jump on you.
Can I use a Free Loadout to Destroy Ticks Pops and Fireballs using Light Impact Grenade in Trials?
We currently do not recommend attempting this trial with a Free Loadout. For this trial, you need tons of Light Impact Grenades which is just not realistic on a Free Loadout. As a result, come in with your own gear for best results.
Map
The best map to push for the maximum score possible is Stella Montis.
Solo Play
You can start either at the Lobby Metro or Seed Vault, as a result of your spawn. As seen above in the map image, following this almost “C” shape rotation starting from either point. For the example of this guide, we’ll start from Seed Vault.
Seed Vault
You can enter the Seed Vault by finding a Fuel Cell nearby and putting it into the interactable near the Vault door. Once inside, make sure to check every aisle for Tick spawns. This location is untouched provides an insane amount of score for free, making it a very desirable spot to get to first. Make sure to not walk to fast through the vault, you can easily pick off the Ticks with Light Impact Grenades without waking them up.
Robotic Sandbox
After the vault is clear, head out and follow the route along to Robotic Sandbox B. It is good to start on the lower floor of Sandbox B to clear the ARC underneath the control room. However, it is important to head up to the control room of Sandbox B and clear the ARC inside. If you see the opportunity, you might be able to use Light Impact Grenades out the windows from above to kill two birds with one stone.
Lobby Metro
Heading up to the top allows you to move and throw Light Impact Grenades on the Fireballs and Pops. Also while clearing the top entirely. Next, head through to Lobby Metro. There is spawns on both sides and even up just above some of the outer staircases leading out. Try to bait each ARC towards you one at a time otherwise you may find yourself catching some missed opportunities and take damage.
And that’s the end of the route! Simply rotate back and forth through the planned sections and you’ll easily climb in Score. This is ideal for solo play to to follow a simple back and forth route as the ARC at the beginning of your route respawn.
Squad Lobby
For the highest possible points, the best option is to split up as a trio and run 3 different routes. The routes are as follows:
Route 1
The first route is simply the same as the route shown above in our solo example, as a result make the best use of the explanation above.
Route 2
Our second route brings one of the trio to Assembly as the starting point. You’ll want to rotate across the entire area of Assembly to clean up all the ARC before moving into Medical Research.
After reaching Medical, make a sweep through the upper rooms and walkways. Finally, drop down and head into the Medical cafeteria and clean out the Ticks there. To repeat this route, simply come out through Loading Bay (you may be able to snipe a couple extra related ARC for points) and head North back into Assembly.
Route 3
our third route sends the final trio member to start in Cultural Archives. To start, simply sweep through each aisle of the Archive, while avoiding the Shredders. Make sure to take it slow so you do not accidentally trigger Ticks or Pops.
From here you can branch off into the Atrium, Communications and Business Center.
Fastest way to 3-star Destroy Ticks Fireballs and Pops using Light Impact Grenade
The quickest and easiest way to push the 3,000 score for the 3-star rewards is to load into Stellar Montis and sprint straight for the Seed Vault. The Seed Vault has so many ticks that you can easily get very close if not entirely done with the 3,000 score requirement. Simply take the room slowly so you don’t aggro a ton of annoying to hit Ticks, destroy them all with the Light Impact Grenades and extract if you hit 3,000!
