How to Craft Mystic Thread in RuneScape: Dragonwilds
To craft Mystic Thread, you must first collect Mystic Fibers from mage-type enemies and then process them at a spinning wheel. It is a multi-step procedure that requires a bit of combat and a trip back to your base. While the combat part can be slightly tedious, the actual crafting is very fast once you have the materials in hand. Most players find that farming the easier Acolyte mobs near the library is the most efficient way to gather the fibers needed for this recipe.

The Process of Refining Mystic Materials
Crafting in Dragonwilds often requires you to turn raw drops into refined components before they are actually useful for gear. In this case, Mystic Fiber is the raw material, and Mystic Thread is the refined result. You will need to head back to your base or a town with the proper facilities to finish the job. It’s a good idea to bank a large amount of fiber before you start spinning, as the conversion rate means you’ll burn through your stock faster than you might expect.

Gathering Fibers from Library Acolytes
The most reliable way to get your fibers is to farm the Acolytes located near the library in Dowdun Reach. To get there, follow the road over the bridge and take the stairs to your right. These mobs are easier for casual players because they often stand alone, though you should still be careful of their fireballs. Even when you block, you’ll take a little bit of damage, so just keep an eye on your health bar while you collect the loot bags they drop.

Using the Spinning Wheel to Craft Thread
Once you have enough fibers, head back to your base and locate the spinning wheel. This is the only station that can refine these magical fibers into thread. It is a simple interaction, but you need to be aware of the material cost:

- You will need exactly 4 Mystic Fibers to create a single Mystic Thread.
- Simply add the fibers to the wheel and wait for the crafting bar to complete.
- Once the thread is finished, it can then be used at a loom or tailoring station to create Mystic Cloth.

Managing Combat with Multiple Mages
If you decide to speed up your farming by fighting the Acolytes on the opposite side of the library, you’ll likely end up fighting two at once. This is the part that usually catches people off guard. You have to keep both enemies in your line of sight because their fireball attacks hit hard. If you get hit by two at the same time without blocking, it can end your run pretty quickly. It’s better to play it safe and take them out individually if you aren’t confident in your dodge timing.
