I like to run this as a behind enemy lines build. Fob hunting - Disrupting Logi Supply Runs, and Building. Scouting for allies, and watching for enemy APCs entering zone. I used to run claymores but I find that's for more Urban style sniping from buildings, while not wearing a Ghillie. I have used them as a border control in case people come looking for me. However, I do find Ghillie suit really helps establish a sense of unknown location. Generally when people have tried looking for me, taking cover in brush is very effective. Let them pass, and proceed with your mission. More times than not, it's been far more efficient and convenient to run the C4 more than the Claymore. To each their own. Can always run two Claymores instead of Two slots of C4. APCs will generally be killed via 4 C4 opposed to 3. I don't like to take chances, and just take the 6. I've also tried utilizing the personal explosive but not as much success. C4 I find is quicker, and easier to utilize at times.
