How to Complete the Saga of the Adventurer Quest in RuneScape: Dragonwilds
You can finish the Saga of the Adventurer quest by using your saga journal to record information from five ancient stone tablets located across the pointed rock structures north of the camp. Unlike the combat-heavy grinds in other parts of the region, this quest is relatively quiet and can be done almost entirely without fighting enemies if you manage your pathing correctly. It is a nice change of pace for players who prefer exploration over constant mob management, though skipping the final tablet by accident can cost you a lot of backtracking time.
Preparing for a Low-Combat Expedition
The entire quest takes place in the northern territory of the desert, where the landscape is dominated by high, pointed rock formations. Your main task is to locate these structures and scan the tablets using your saga log. While the route is mostly peaceful, the desert environment itself presents a passive threat called Scorch buildup. As you ride between objectives, you will notice your heat meter rising; staying out in the sun too long will start draining your resources, so you will need to pause under rock overhangs or in patches of shade to reset the accumulation before moving on.

The First Tablet and the Hidden Cave
The first tablet is the only one on the main route that forces you into a direct confrontation, as it is tucked inside an elevated cave. To reach it, ride toward the first designated rock structure and look for a low stone platform.

- Mount up, gain some momentum up the slope, and use the Windstep traversal spell to leap across the gap to the right-hand platform.
- Pull out your pickaxe to shatter the rocks sealing the cave entrance.
- A single enemy waits inside the cave; defeat it quickly so you can safely interact with the lore book and the stone tablet on the pedestal. There is also a small chest here that you can loot for extra materials before heading out.

Fast-Riding the Second and Third Tablets
The next two tablets are much easier to handle because you don’t need to dismount for long or clear out any guards. From the cave, head straight toward the next set of pointed rocks visible on the horizon. The second tablet is sitting completely out in the open. You can ride your mount directly up to the stone, quickly click it to record the data, and hop back on your mount to keep moving before any nearby mobs notice you.

Continue along the path to find the third tablet, which is nestled inside a cluster of creature eggs. Remember to check your Scorch buildup around this point and stand under the nearby rock shelf for a few seconds to cool down. Approach the eggs, interact with the third tablet, and prepare for the final leg of the journey.

Navigating the Final Tablets and Rewards
The fourth tablet is surrounded by a higher concentration of enemies, making it the trickiest part of the run for casual players. If you take the path winding around to the right, you can successfully dodge their aggro circles and avoid a fight entirely. Be careful with your platforming here; jumping off the high ledges by accident will cause you to lose roughly half your health from fall damage, which is a bit of a waste of food.

Many players—myself included—make the mistake of assuming the quest is over after the fourth stone and heading back to camp early. However, there is a fifth and final tablet positioned nearby that you must interact with to officially finalize your saga log. Once you have scanned all five, return to the Moon Garou camp to hand the completed log in. Finishing the quest grants you the Crucible Engram of Humiliation and a nice bump to your standing with the Moon Garou Tribe.
