If you’re figuring out how to get Support XP in WARDOGS, you’re in the right place. To gain Support XP effectively:

1. Hop into a server and buy a Hammer (size depends on your level) and a vehicle (either ground or flying)
2. With your vehicle of choice, buy and make up supply crates or pallets to bring to your teams FOB
3. Use supplies within a FOB to build up a base with your team
4. Bring a MP43 Shotgun (and an RPG-7 at level 5 Support)
5. Make use of Mortars or Anti-Air stations within your base

The Best XP Early Game for Support XP

The aim of the game as a Support is to provide your assistance to the frontline efforts, establish a base of operation and keep up a solid supply line for the team.

The best way to gain Support XP early in WARDOGS is:

1. Buy a basic vehicle (MH-6 or Kodiak), load it up with as many Small Crates as you can and buy a Hammer
2. Make sure to include build supplies and similar items that players will buy from your Crate (this awards you Support XP)
3. Bring the supplies to the first FOB or location your team is trying to build on
4. Press “G” to drop your Small Crates onto the floor, you’ll earn Support XP for this
5. Use your Hammer to start building a perimeter around the FOB that has been made (every part of the building process gives Support XP)
6. Look out for any of your teammates building support stations such as Mortars or Anti-air machinery – use them as much as you can to earn Support XP for kills and destroying vehicles
7. If enemies are outside the perimeter or breaking in, use your shotgun to secure kills. Each kill gives 250 Support XP

With the methods above, you’ll earn yourself more than a decent payout of cash too throughout a match.

Building

Outside of supply runs, building is a consistent way to gain some Support XP without assistance. As long as there’s enough supplies on you or inside the FOB, you can build with a Hammer.

Holding out the Hammer lets you pull up a radial menu. The menu shows you all the builds you can make with the type of Hammer you have. There is a Small, Medium and Large Hammer.

Every time you hit a build to progress, you’ll earn XP and cash.

While the amount of Support XP is low per hit, you’ll swing many times building a base. As a result, it’ll add up to a decent amount per match. However, the biggest swing in XP is definitely Shotgun kills, supply running and utilizing Mortars and Anti-air. Hitting the “X” mark on a build is a “critical hit”, increasing the build progression by a large amount and giving 7 XP instead of 1.

What Support XP is and how it differs from your account level

WARDOGS uses a broad progression system based around specific role-based tracks. These tracks supplement the overall account level you have. Depending on how you spend your time in the game, you’ll find yourself heading down a playstyle path based on those choices. Performing Support-specific actions such as providing Supplies or destroying a vehicle with a Mortar increases your Support level AND your account level simultaneously. However, other moments in gameplay, such as getting a kill with a vehicle, a SMG, or simply surviving in the zone, will level your account level or another track only.

Support XP Curve, Numbers and Unlocks

As you can see from our XP Tables, you mainly need to watch out for the bigger Hammers and better Supply Crates or Pallets with a bigger vehicle, these milestones for help in progressing. Later on, the use of player-equipped anti-vehicle weapons such as the MAAWS helps to progress while not being tied down to a base.

At Level 15 Support, you’ll unlock the M249 SAW Light Machine gun. This weapon when used correctly is both powerful and great for gaining Support XP as infantry.
