The StarRupture development team has laid out a comprehensive plan to evolve the game from its initial Early Access launch into a polished 1.0 version. The roadmap is built on a foundation of immediate technical refinements while simultaneously preparing for massive content drops that will expand the world of Arcadia-7.

The roadmap focuses on stabilizing the core experience while preparing for massive map expansions and the final 1.0 release.

Roadmap

Ongoing Improvements and Technical Stability

Right now, the priority for the developers is the technical health of the game. Ongoing efforts are directed at optimizing game performance to ensure that the complex factory automation and large-scale environments run smoothly for all players. Beyond just the frame rates, you can expect constant tweaks to the building and combat mechanics. The world itself is also being refined, alongside UI/UX updates designed to make managing your base and inventory less of a chore as the game grows.

Automation

New Features and Content Coming to Early Access

As the Early Access period progresses, the gameplay loop will expand significantly. One of the most anticipated additions is a new way to travel across the map between bases, which should make late-game logistics far more manageable than the current manual trekking. For players who want a specific type of challenge, a custom game mode with adjustable difficulty is in the works.

Base

The world of Arcadia-7 is also set to grow much larger. The developers have promised an expanded map featuring new locations, points of interest, and an entirely new “Forgotten Engine” landmark to explore. This expansion will be supported by new resources, weapons, and additional corporation levels, giving you more rewards to chase as you automate your production lines. To help keep track of all these new elements, a dedicated Codex or encyclopedia will eventually be added to the game.

Quality of Life and Social Features

The roadmap also addresses the social and technical needs of the community. Dedicated servers are a major upcoming milestone, which will improve the stability of co-op play. Speaking of co-op, the team is working on balancing the multiplayer experience and refining the Cargo Dispatcher/Receiver systems to ensure that shared base management is as seamless as possible. Smaller but vital improvements like better keybinding, controller support, and accessibility options—including adjustable text sizes and subtitle settings—are also high on the priority list.

The Journey Toward the 1.0 Release

While there is plenty to do during Early Access, the 1.0 version will bring the true “End Game” to StarRupture. This final release will introduce a completely new biome and the “Frost Wave,” a new environmental threat that will likely challenge even the most hardened survivors. The 1.0 launch will also see the completion of the main story elements and the addition of official Steam Achievements, marking the end of the game’s initial development journey.
