Where to Find the Chemicals Blueprint in StarRupture

The Chemicals blueprint is located at the Clever Robotics Research Outpost, which can be found by traveling Far East from your starting ship.

Since StarRupture launched into Early Access today, players are finding that certain advanced materials—like those required for better med tools and tech—require a Chemicals factory. To unlock this, you’ll need to head to one of the more dangerous outposts in the eastern sector.

Locating Clever Robotics Research Outpost

As with all our navigation guides, we use the starting ship as our universal landmark. There are 2 locations for the Chemicals Blueprint as shown on our Interactive Map. We decided to go to the one to the East.

• The Heading: From your crash site, head Far East.
• The Route: Depending on where your home base is, your specific path might vary slightly, but heading East toward the horizon will eventually lead you to the outpost.
• The Site: You’ll recognize the facility by the stairs leading up into the main structure. It’s a fairly large facility compared to some of the smaller outposts.

Clearing the Infection (The Spores)

The most important thing to know about this location is that it is covered in blue spores.

• How Spores Work: If you don’t clear these spores, aliens will keep spawning indefinitely.
• Teamwork vs. Solo: If you have teammates, this part goes much faster because you can divide the labor—one person handles the aliens while the other clears the buildings. If you are playing solo, just be patient. It takes a bit more time to manage both.
• Pro Tip: Use your mining tool to destroy the spores attached to the buildings. This saves your ammo for the actual combat.

Preparation and Looting Strategy

Before you enter the facility, make sure you have an empty inventory.

• Don’t make my mistake: I arrived with a full inventory, and I had to leave behind a lot of valuable gear. You’ll find dead bodies and containers throughout the facility that have valuable loot nearly every time you check them.

• Ammo: Bring plenty. The constant spawning from the spores can drain your reserves quickly if you aren’t efficient.

Securing the Chemicals Blueprint

Once you’ve cleared the exterior and made your way into the facility, follow these steps:

1. Head up the stairs and enter the main building.
2. Be thorough about clearing the spores inside the rooms to stop the internal spawns.
3. Loot the building entirely.
4. Once you’ve cleared the room, turn around and locate the blue chest.

Inside this chest, you’ll find the Chemicals Blueprint. With this in your possession, you can head back to base and begin setting up your chemical processing lines.
