StarRupture

The Rotor blueprint is located inside an abandoned structure within the pink gorge, situated Northwest of your starting ship.

With StarRupture launching into Early Access today, players are quickly finding out that technical progression is gated behind specific blueprints. The Rotor is one of the first major hurdles you’ll encounter for your base.

Finding the Pink Gorge

Because base locations vary from player to player, you should always use your starting ship as your primary landmark for navigation. The Rotor Blueprint has 6 different locations as shown by our Interactive Map. We chose the closest one to the West.

  1. Stand at your starting ship and orient your compass to the Northwest.
  2. Begin moving in a straight line toward the horizon.
  3. You are looking for an area that looks like a Pink Gorge. The terrain is distinct, so it’s not difficult to miss once you are in the vicinity.
  4. Keep an eye out for a man-made structure jutting out from the landscape; this is your destination.

Preparation and Combat Strategy

Before you arrive at the gorge, I recommend checking your gear. It’s a straightforward run, but the location itself is hostile.

Inventory
  • Inventory Space: Make sure your inventory is as empty as possible. There is a significant amount of loot in this building, and you don’t want to make multiple trips.
  • Ammo Count: Bring plenty of ammo for your pistol.
  • Tactics: Numerous aliens will spawn as you approach the structure. I find the most effective method is to shoot, then retreat while reloading. Repeat this cycle until the area is clear. Don’t rush in, as getting cornered by multiple spawns is an easy way to end the run early.

How to Enter the Abandoned Base

The building isn’t accessible through a standard ground-floor entrance. To get inside, you need to use the environment to your advantage.

Blueprint building
  • The Hill Entry: Head to the hill directly next to the building. From this elevated position, you can jump into the structure.
Entrance to the building
  • Audio Comms: While exploring, keep an eye out for audio logs. Activating these will give you a bit more backstory on what happened at this outpost. It’s a nice bit of world-building for those who don’t want to just grab the loot and leave.

Retrieving the Rotor Blueprint

Once you have jumped inside, proceed through the building. Be careful, as additional aliens often spawn inside the rooms.

StarRupture Rotor Blueprint

The Rotor Blueprint is located on the upper level, surrounded by several supply containers. After you’ve secured the blueprint, make sure to head downstairs to find more bodies and containers to loot. There is a lot of useful scrap here that will help with your early-game crafting.
