The Laser Emitter blueprint is located inside the Technical Lab of the “Forgotten Engine” landmark, a massive derelict terraforming machine visible from the starting area. Reaching this blueprint is one of the more involved “dungeon” runs you’ll encounter, requiring a craftable Power Cell and a full navigation of the engine’s interior.

Where to Find the Laser Emitter Blueprint in StarRupture

To get the Laser Emitter Blueprint, you have to enter the Forgotten Engine, restore power via the backup generator on the Logistics Level, and then reach the Technical Lab. This is an instanced area, meaning your main map won’t work once you’re inside, so you’ll need to rely on the maps posted on the walls to find your way.

location

1. Prepare Your Gear and Find the Entrance

Before leaving your base, make sure you craft a Power Cell. You cannot enter the facility without one. Once prepared, look for the massive structure on the horizon—the Forgotten Engine—which is visible from your starting Orbital Lander. Head to the left side of the engine. Look for a gap in the structure that leads to a terminal; use your Power Cell here to power the door and enter via the emergency pod.

2. Navigate to the Control Center

Once inside, use the maps on the wall to orient yourself. Your first goal is the Control Center in sector A-1. As you move through the musty corridors, loot every body, chest, and rubble pile you see. You specifically need to find four unique items (check the bodies and chests) that are required to craft the engine core later. When you reach the Control Center door, you’ll find it is unpowered.

3. Restore Power at the Logistics Level

Since the main door is dead, you need to head down to the Logistics Level to find the backup generator. This area is heavily infected. Expect plenty of aliens and spores that will mess with your gear and drain your shields. Clear the spores as you go to maintain visibility. We suggest throwing a grenade into the cooling station to clear out the initial swarm of aliens before turning right toward the generator room.

4. Restart the Backup Generator

Inside the backup generator room, the infection is at its peak. Clear the spores around the generator as fast as possible to restore your shield and clear the air. Once the generator is running, the room will clear. Head to the nearby stairs (to the left on the map) and return to the main engine floor. You can use the crafting station here if you need to top up on ammo or food before the final stretch.

5. Access the Technical Lab

With the power back on, return to the Control Center door and head through. Inside this large room, you’ll find a chest containing the Pressure Tank and Condenser blueprints. However, the Laser Emitter is further in. To get it, you must head to the Technical Lab. This is where the engine core would normally be crafted.

6. Secure the Laser Emitter Blueprint

Follow the path to the Tech Lab, clearing any blue spores blocking your way. Once you reach the lab, head inside and close the door to keep the aliens out. Search the chests within the lab; one of them contains the Laser Emitter Blueprint.
