The Hardening Agent Blueprint is found at the IRO Secret Outpost, located near the giant thruster wreckage.

Players are discovering that Hardening Agents are essential for high-tier structural components and advanced factory machines. Unlike the early-game blueprints, this one is tucked away in a more vertical, hazardous area of the map.

Where to Find the Hardening Agent Blueprint in StarRupture

Follow the steps below to find the Hardening Agent blueprint in StarRupture:

1. Navigating to the IRO Secret Outpost

Since every player’s base location is different, we suggest using the starting ship as your primary landmark for general direction. For a more precise pin, you can check our Interactive Map. There are 2 locations for this blueprint. We will be going for the one to the East.

• The Thruster: You are looking for a massive, unmistakable thruster wreckage on the horizon. This is your primary heading.

• The Geo Scanner: Once you get close, look for a Geo Scanner positioned on the high ground overlooking the outpost. If you see the scanner, you’re in the right spot.

2. Establishing a Forward Base

I’ve found it’s a good idea to build a small, functional base near the scanner before you head down into the outpost.

The Ruptura firestorm can hit at any time, and having a sealed habitat nearby can save you from a long run back from the respawn pod. It also gives you a place to dump extra loot if your inventory gets full—which it likely will.

3. Descending the Rock Face

The outpost is situated at the bottom of a steep cliff.

• Watch Your Step: Don’t just jump off the ledge. The fall damage in this game is unforgiving and will likely kill you.
• The Stairs: Look for the first set of stairs leading down the second rock face.

• The Second Descent: After the first level, you’ll find another set of stairs. Use these to reach the bottom safely.

4. Finding the Blueprint Chest

Once you reach the bottom, you’ll be standing among several ruined buildings.

1. Keep Right: As you move into the ruins, stay to the right-hand side of the broken structures.
2. The Second Building: Ignore the first broken building you pass. Your destination is the second building further in.

3. The Blueprint: Inside this second structure, you will find the Hardening Agent Blueprint.

Feel free to explore the rest of the outpost once you have it, as there are plenty of other containers and rubble piles with decent loot, but the blueprint should be your priority.
