Climbing the Network Center Statue in Grounded 2
After some hours of adventuring in the Park, the large, looming statue tends to pique curiosity. Through some Main Quest progression, you’ll reach the quest “Networking”. This quest sends you on a task to climb the Statue and reach the Network Center inside. As a result, we’ll be climbing the Network Center Statue in Grounded 2 and walking you through every step of the way. It’s important to follow closely, as there’s some high-altitude twists and turns!
Entering the Bush
Roughly at the center of the front bush, you’ll find a root leading towards the inside of the bush, start by following this root in. There is a crunchable root blocking the way in also.
Once you’re through, continue following the root in the direction that takes you to higher than where you started. Up ahead, there’s a small Ominent Outpost – however, heading below it is the direction we want to head.
Following the path, there will be another crunchable root blockade leading back outside – take this path and head back inside through the second crunchable root blockade. From here, carry on until you’re back outside the bush and can see a red ribbon below you.
The ribbon leads you further onto another branch, as a result, continue following that branch path all the way up to the base of the statue.
Climbing the Statue
To begin your ascent up the statue, you’ll have to head underneath the BURG.L statue. Underneath, there is a ladder that after climbing, brings you to a Pneumatic Transit System.
In the first couple of rooms, you’ll come across random lore pieces such as audio recordings on the floor, however, the main task is to find the next Pneumatic Transit System. Fortunately it’s fairly linear to reach, simply continue through each room until you reach the Pneumatic Transit System leading to the next floor.
Climbing the Statue – Level 2
The second floor of the statue immediately presents you with beds to use for sleep and as a respawn point. As a result, we recommend setting your respawn point here – things get dangerous further on.
Head up into the next room and clear out the large amount of bugs, we recommend bringing a good amount of healing sources to the statue.
Straight ahead is another Pneumatic Transit System – up we go!
Climbing the Statue – Level 3
On the 3rd floor, you’ll come across a very different layout to the previous floors – namely the large machine in the center.
This central machine requires you to activate 3 switches to progress. As a result, head into the right side room first and begin searching for the switches.
To enter the right room, you’ll need to grab the Access Card on the dead employee’s body just above the Central machine. Once you’re in the room, there is a huge O.R.C. Cockroach immediately as you enter.
Next, there is two colors coded into the room, green and purple.
Each color represents one of the three switches we’re looking for. The green switch is quick and easy to hit, simply head down the green-coded path and the switch is immediately inside the first room.
After, head back to the purple side of the room and pass through the hole in the wall, leading to some electrical-looking corridors. Crouch all the way through until you reach the purple switch room.
Finally, head across to the left side room – the blue-coded room. You’ll notice quickly inside the room that there is a broken part of the glass floor you can drop through. Dropping through leads you into a tight space with exposed wires. Here, you’ll need to deal with the wires and fix them as you move along.
Doing so allows you to flip the third and final switch above.
With all three switches active, you can now hit the central machine in the main room to activate the middle door – leading to another Pneumatic Transit System.
Server Room
The final push before reaching the top of the statue brings you to the server room, this room is full of insects that you’ll have to deal with. As a result, be prepared and have healing ready and take things at a good pace.
Shortly after passing the server room, a small yellow-coded room is nearby, containing a chest with items and some more medical resources. We highly recommend picking up any food & resources you can in these types of areas.
Up next is a ladder, leading up to the next floor. However, you’re actually going to drop down into a hole instead that leads to a ventilation shaft.
The ventilation shaft has a TON of spider mobs down there, it is not for the faint hearted – so be prepared.
Follow the path through the vents until you reach a final drop-down that brings you to another Pneumatic Transit System.
Final Room
The Masked Stranger contacts you a final time, warning you your final challenge is ahead if you continue. As a result, make sure you’re ready to go – healed up, fed and watered etc.
When you’re ready – open the door with your SCA.B 2K and begin the encounter.
Masked Stranger (Boss Fight)
The Masked Stranger that has been hacking into your devices and fighting Ominent finally confronts you. The Stranger boasts an incredible looking armor set and weapon resembling the “Spicy Coaltana” from Grounded. After some dialogue and a cutscene, you’ll fight the Masked Stranger and one of her pets. Defeating the Masked Stranger nets you the “Frenzy” mutation.

Top of the Statue
Congratulations, you made it to the top of the statue in Grounded 2! Here we find that the top of the statue is actually Ms. Sloane’s office. On the main desk of the office you’ll find the following items:
- BURG.L’s head
- Sizzling Key
- Charred Recipe
The Sizzling Key unlocks the recipe for the “Spicy Coaltana”. After interracting with BURG.L’s head, Ms. Sloane calls you on the monitor behind the desk. After some conversing, she’ll notify you that you’re done here and to go enjoy the view at the top. Climbing up the ladder in the room leads you to a full overview of the park – you’re at the top of the statue in Grounded 2.
