Where to Find the Scarlet Aegis Shield in Grounded 2
To get the Scarlet Aegis Shield in Grounded 2, you’ll need a Red Soldier Ant Buggy to break through dead roots at a tunnel entrance in the Ceremony region (just east of the Podium near the giant microphone), and a Bratburst explosive to blow open a cracked wall inside. Follow the right-hand path past scorpions, use your explosive on the wall, and loot the chest to claim the shield.
What You Need Before You Enter
- Red Soldier Ant Buggy – to clear the dead-root-covered tunnel entrance.
- Bratburst (or other explosive) – to blast through the cracked wall hiding the chest.

Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1 – Head to the Location
Once you have your Red Soldier Ant Buggy and an explosive, head to the tunnel entrance south of the Shlapz Microphone or southeast of the Podium. Look for a Billy Hog hot dog nearby—this marks the spot.

Step 2 – Enter the Tunnel
Use your Ant Buggy to bite through the dead roots blocking the entrance. Once inside, be ready to face a Northern Scorpion Jr.. Defeat it, then take the right path.

Step 3 – Defeat the Enemies
Continue forward, dealing with more scorpions along the way. Be sure to grab the Raw Science you find here.

Step 4 – Break the Cracked Rock
At the end of the path, you’ll find a cracked rock wall. Equip your explosive, throw it, and stand back to safely blast it open.

Step 5 – Open the Chest
Go through the newly opened passage to find the Scarlet Aegis Shield along with extra loot inside the chest.
