Where to Find the Boom Stick Secret Weapon in Grounded 2 (Toxic Tangle)
The Boom Stick Warhammer is a hidden two-handed secret weapon introduced in the Toxic Tangle update for Grounded 2. It is found underground near the Veggie Box, west of the Veggie Garden Ranger Outpost, and requires swimming, exploration, and defeating an Orc Wolf Spider to obtain.
How to Get the Boom Stick Warhammer
Step 1: Start at the Veggie Garden Ranger Outpost
Begin at the Veggie Garden Ranger Outpost and prepare to travel west toward the Veggie Box, located near the Toppled Flower POI.
Before setting off, you can use the interactive Grounded 2 map to pinpoint the Veggie Garden, Veggie Box, and surrounding landmarks to stay oriented.
Ride your Orb Weaver Buggy to speed things up, as the destination is not far from the outpost.
Step 2: Locate the Hidden Brick Wall Entrance
As you approach the Veggie Box area, you’ll notice several vegetables partially buried in the ground. Nearby, examine the brick wall closely.
There is a small hole in the wall that serves as the entrance to the hidden area. This opening is easy to miss, so use the vegetables and brick wall as your main visual indicators.
Run through the opening, drop down, and crouch through the narrow passage to continue.
Step 3: Swim Through the Underground Tunnel
Continue running straight ahead until you reach water. Ignore the Earwig that runs past you—there’s no need to fight it.
Dive into the water and swim straight forward. Surface briefly to get air, then continue swimming through the next underwater opening directly ahead.
Do not turn left or right during this section. Staying straight keeps you on the correct path.
Step 4: Reach the Screwdriver Cavern
After swimming through the tunnel, you’ll emerge near a screwdriver submerged in water. Swim up and climb onto it, then move toward the tip.
You’ll see an opening at the end of the screwdriver, but do not enter it. Instead, take a right turn and look for a sloped path leading upward.
Jump across to the slope and continue forward.
Step 5: Prepare for the Orc Wolf Spider Fight
Before entering the next tunnel, switch your mutation to Mithridatism, as you will be forced into a fight with an Orc Wolf Spider.
Proceed into the tunnel and prepare for combat. Defeating this enemy is required to reach the weapon.
Step 6: Collect the Boom Stick Warhammer
After defeating the Orc Wolf Spider, look around the cavern. The Boom Stick Warhammer is resting against the side of the area.
Make sure you have inventory space, as the Boomstick is a two-handed weapon.
Once equipped, the Boom Stick features a powerful charge attack that creates a blast wave, dealing sizzle and spicy damage in an area.
Step 7: Exit the Area
To leave, simply backtrack the same way you came.
Head back through the tunnel, jump into the water, and swim straight forward under the screwdriver. Surface for air when needed, then continue straight until you reach the original opening.
Run past the Earwig again and exit through the brick wall hole to return to the Veggie Garden area.
