Where to Find the Crimson Avenger in Grounded 2

The Crimson Avenger is a powerful hidden sword found deep inside the Spider Den Anthill in the Pine Hill region of Grounded 2. To obtain it, make your way into the den through the north entrance, stick to the right path inside the tunnels, and use your Ant Buggy and Tier 2 Shovel upgrade to access a sealed memorial box. The sword is lodged in a chunk of chewing gum beside the crate—break it loose and claim your prize. Along the way, you’ll also encounter the Spider Den Optical Disk.

How to Reach the Spider Den Anthill

Start by heading to the Pine Hill region in Grounded 2, a hilly, forested area filled with layered terrain and hidden pathways. Your destination is the Spider Den Anthill, located in the northwestern corner of the map.

Use the North Entrance, which can be found in the northeastern section of Pine Hill, on the second elevation level. If you’re having trouble spotting it, look for the Worm Holes candy container nearby — it glows faintly at night and sits near the entrance hole.

Step-by-Step Guide to Find the Crimson Avenger

Step 1: Enter the Anthill

Enter the Spider Den using the north entrance. Hop onto your Ant Buggy before heading in.

Step 2: Stick to the Right Path

As you drive deeper, always keep to the right side of the tunnel at every fork or curve.

Step 3: Look for the Root Marker

Look for a root hanging from the ceiling at an archway—this marks the path to the Optical Disk.

Step 4: Grab the Spider Den Optical Disk

You’ll find a corpse on the floor here with a faint glow. Next to it is the Spider Den Optical Disk.

Step 5: Continue Through the Passage

Stick to the right wall as you move ahead. The path opens into a new chamber.

Step 6: Fight the O.R.C. Soldier Ants

You’ll find a group of O.R.C. Red Soldier Ants here. Defeat them and collect the brittle quartzite and marble shards scattered around.

Step 7: Jump Up to Root Blockage

Head to the far end of the chamber and jump up the stone ledges to a blocked passage of dead roots.

Step 8: Use Your Buggy to Smash Through

Use your Ant Buggy to break through the dead roots and clear the tunnel.

Step 9: Find the Memorial Box

You’ll enter a chamber with a memorial box. To the side of it, you’ll see chewing gum with the Crimson Avenger embedded in it.

Step 10: Break the Gum and Claim the Sword

Use your Tier 2 Shovel to break the gum, and the Crimson Avenger will fall to the floor. Pick it up and equip it.
