Where to Find the Ice Cream Cart Optical Disk in Grounded 2

The Ice Cream Cart Optical Disk is located deep inside the frozen Ice Cream Cart, near the south edge of the map. You’ll find it resting on the pink ice cream floor next to a corpse. To survive the freezing temperatures in this area, you’ll need high Chill Resistance gear — without it, you won’t last long.

What You’ll Need Before You Go

Before you even think about stepping into the frozen zone, make sure you’re fully prepared. This is one of the more dangerous locations in the game, so bring the following:

Basic Essentials

• Bandages, smoothies, and healing meals
• A strong smashing weapon (e.g. Roach Club) — great for handling scorpions
• A shield, like the Bombuckler, for blocking and parrying
• Scorpidote Smoothies — counter venom effects
• Mithridatism Mutation — boosts poison resistance

Fuzzy Armor Set (94% Chill Resistance)

This armor is essential for exploring frozen zones.

To unlock the set, you’ll need to research Bee Fuzz, which drops from bees. The full set also requires Lingonberry Leather, which is found mostly in Pine Hill. Lingonberries are among the rarer resources, so consider attempting this area only after you’ve explored that region thoroughly.

Crafting Requirements (Full Set):

• 10× Bee Fuzz
• 2× Gnat Fuzz
• 9× Lingonberry Leather (27 Lingonberry Chunks)
• 7× Silk Rope
• 3× Milkweed Tuft
• 2× Bug Rubber (crafted from 2× Sap + 2× Acid Gland)

Blazin’ Brew Smoothie (Optional, but Recommended)

Drink this at a Smoothie Station before entering the cart for a boost to Chill Resistance.

• Fuzzy Armor + Blazin’ Brew = 98% resistance
• Add a warm meal from the Cookery to reach 100%

Other Helpful Items

• Torch – Adds light and a small Chill Resistance bonus
• Buggy – Optional, but not always practical in this area

Tips Before You Go

• Max out Chill Resistance with armor, Blazin’ Brew, and food
• Bring AoE or knockback weapons to help with scorpion swarms
• Take it slow — enemies are often hidden beneath the ice
• Don’t rush into the chamber — prep before looting
• Always have a way out in case things go sideways

How to Enter the Ice Cream Cart

Head to the southern edge of the map, where you’ll find the Ice Cream Cart partially buried in snow.

1. Locate the Pink Ice Cream Path

Start near the Ice Cream Cart’s snowy base and look for the bright pink ice cream trail.

2. Follow the Path onto the Green Trail

Continue forward as the path turns green — you’ll now be heading toward the interior.

3. Enter Through the Broken Cone

You’ll reach a broken ice cream cone — walk through it to begin entering the cart structure.

4. Choose the Left Path

Inside, you’ll encounter two tunnel paths — take the left one.

5. Stick to the Right and Drop Down

Once inside, hug the right side of the tunnel and carefully drop down into the lower level.

6. Watch Out for Buried Scorpions

Move slowly — scorpions may be hidden under the snow or terrain ahead.

7. Pass Under the Yellow Ice Lolly

You’ll soon pass beneath a yellow ice lolly into a narrow icy passage.

8. Confront or Avoid the Big Scorpion

Ahead, a large scorpion guards the tunnel. Defeat it or sneak past.

9. Find the Disk Beside the Corpse

In the final chamber, look for a pink glow on the floor. You’ll find a corpse with Everchar Flares, a Spicy Shard, a Scorpidote, and the Ice Cream Cart Optical Disk.

The corpse also contains:

• Scorpidote Smoothie
