Soggy Journal Description
I’m starting to think these journal entries are useless, no matter what the Wellness Officer says. No peace of mind can be had living inside of a corporate machine. I am just as much a product as the devices I invent.
July 20th, 1992
I dragged myself to a BBQ over the weekend. Sharon and Jeremy asked me how it was going. I hope they don’t actually try to apply for a job here. They’ll find out pretty fast that everything I’ve ever told them is a lie.
July 24th, 1992
I’ve decided to give it a month. If I don’t land on a project worthy of scientific inquiry, I’m quitting for good. There are other companies out there that respect their employees. Right? There must be. Somewhere.
August 17th, 1992
Just as I was about to quit, something interesting finally landed on my desk. I don’t think Patricia will like me eloping like this, but it could be what I’ve needed all along. I am not a number. I am not an employee. I am a man of science!
