Grounded 2

To get the Ice Breakers in Grounded 2: Beat the Heat update, head to the bottom-right area of the greenhouse and enter a hidden tunnel behind a plant pot. Inside, use a Tang Banger explosive to destroy a gunked-up door, where the Ice Breakers can be collected from a table. You must first unlock the Tang Banger recipe by completing the Toxic Tangle questline.

How to Get Ice Breakers in Grounded 2

The Ice Breakers are one of the new weapons added in the Beat the Heat update, and they are very straightforward to obtain once you know where to go. However, before starting, you must have access to the Tang Banger explosive, which is unlocked by completing the Toxic Tangle questline. If you have not done this yet, you will not be able to open the required door.

Grounded 2 Ice Breakers

Step 1: Start at the Greenhouse Ranger Outpost

Begin at the Greenhouse Ranger Outpost, as this is the closest and easiest starting location. Before leaving, make sure you have a Tang Banger explosive ready, as this is required to access the Ice Breakers. It is also highly recommended to use a buggy mount, as it makes travelling across the greenhouse much faster.

Exit the outpost and head outside into the greenhouse area.

Step 2: Head to the Bottom-Right of the Greenhouse

Once outside, get on your buggy and move forward, then loop back toward the sprinkler system area that you activated during the Toxic Tangle quest. From here, make your way toward the bottom-right corner of the greenhouse.

As you approach this area, look for a large plant pot sitting in the corner. Head directly behind it, where you will find a hidden tunnel entrance tucked out of sight. This is the entrance you need.

Step 3: Enter the Hidden Tunnel

Dismount your buggy and enter the tunnel. Inside, you will only encounter mites, which are very weak enemies and can be taken out in one or two hits, so they should not cause any problems.

Continue following the tunnel path forward, and you will eventually reach a glass room area, with another section visible to the left. Keep moving through until you find the blocked doorway.

Step 4: Destroy the Gunked Door

At the end of the tunnel, you will come across a gunked-up door that is blocking access to the room containing the Ice Breakers. To open it, equip your Tang Banger and throw it directly at the door.

Wait for the explosion to clear the gunk, which will fully open the entrance and allow you to proceed inside.

Step 5: Collect the Ice Breakers

Once inside the room, look straight ahead to the table where the Ice Breakers are placed. These are a pair of boxing glove-style weapons introduced in the Beat the Heat update.

Simply interact with the item to collect them and unlock the weapon.

Ice Breakers Crafting Recipe

After obtaining them, you can craft additional Ice Breakers at a workbench using the following materials:

  • 1 Woolly Whopper
  • 4 Shivering Scales
  • 2 Mint Globes

The Ice Breakers come with a chilling attack effect, making them a strong choice for combat in the Beat the Heat update.
