How to Reach the Top of the Garbage Can in Grounded 2

The Garbage Can is one of the many points of interest in the Park. Eventually, the Main Quest is going to task you with reaching the top of the Garbage Can in Grounded 2. The quest “Signals and Stashes” sets you on a mission to reach and interrupt an O.R.C. Transmitter. Today, we’ll show you a quick and easy way to climb the Garbage Can – and avoid fatal falls.

Accessing the Garbage Can

To be able to enter the Garbage Can area, you’ll need to craft yourself a Gas Mask. This is due to the fact that the area is toxic to you without one.

How to Craft a Gas Mask in Grounded 2

To craft a Gas Mask, you’ll need to reach Brainpower Level 4 for the recipe. To increase your Brainpower Level, simply utilize the Resource Analyzer with new items as and when you find them. The materials required for the Gas Mask recipe are as follows:

• Weevil Nose
• Gnat Fuzz x4
• Crude Rope x2
• Stinkbug Parts x1

Weevils can often be found scattered throughout the entire Park, making it easy to farm the nose. Whereas Gnats are more commonly found at puddle-like or watery areas. Finally, you can find Stinkbugs either in the northern-most sections of the map, or actually pretty close to the Garbage Can itself!

Climbing the Garbage Can

With your newly-crafted Gas Mask equipped, we can now head to the Garbage Can and climb to the top. Start by finding the small twig that leads into the outer casing of the Garbage Can.

Once you’re between the metal bars, take a right onto the banana. However, do not continue forward. Instead, look above you – you’ll notice a spork above you that you can jump to – jump up and continue.

Continue forward and jump across to the next small branch. Be very careful when moving across the branch as it’ll take you outside the metal casing of the Garbage Can on a VERY narrow path. The branch paths you back inside the casing but higher up, leading to a tissue and another solid object to jump up.

You’ll find yourself in a very tight space at the top section, we HIGHLY recommend doing this part without your Buggy. Head out onto the rope and take a right, if you head onto the knot tied to the branch, you can jump up to the top-section of the Garbage Can.

Head to the left and follow the edge of the Garbage Can around until you find a Spork to climb up.

And that’s it, you’re now at the top of the Garbage Can and can interact with the O.R.C. Transmission Device.

Other than the main Quest objective, there is little else to do up on top of the Garbage Can in Grounded 2. You’ll find various harvest nodes like Gum and Candy though.
