Declaration of Independence

This is a message to Ms Beaumont.

When in the course of research, it becomes necessary for scientists to dissolve the corporate bands connecting them to their employer and to assume a new station of freedom, a respect for their, well, legal future requires that they declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

I am done playing corporate charades. I declare this research station to be totally independent of Ominent Practical Technologies.

Here, the employees you left behind will be free to conduct the groundbreaking research so callously discarded by your memos and directives.
