Where to Find the Sticky Fingers Trinket in Grounded 2
The Sticky Fingers trinket in Grounded 2 is hidden under a piece of chewed gum on top of a cinder block in the Rocky Chamber, a room in the northern Abyss. You reach it by heading north from the Baseball Cap landmark on the surface.
The team here at MetaForge made this run ourselves after the Into the Abyss update went live, tracking the jet stream angles and gear needed to reach the cinder block. This guide covers the full route, the gear worth bringing, and what the trinket does once it is equipped.
Sticky Fingers Trinket Location
The Rocky Chamber sits inside the Abyss biome, the underwater area beneath Brookhollow Park’s pond that Obsidian Entertainment added to Grounded 2 in the version 0.5.0.5 patch notes, released in August 2026. The patch notes don’t name the Rocky Chamber directly, so its exact spot comes from our own testing rather than an official callout.
Grounded 2 remains in early access on its official Steam page, so pack the gear below before you head out in case a future patch shifts anything on this route.

What to Bring Before You Go
You will be swimming and climbing through the Abyss to reach the cinder block, so pack for both combat and survival before setting out. None of these items are exotic, but skipping one usually means turning back partway through the route.
- Full diving set: The Diving Helmet, Diving Suit Chestplate, and Diving Boots keep you breathing and moving freely through the flooded sections.
- Bandages: For patching up after robots or Abyss critters land a hit along the way.
- A weapon of choice: Ranged or melee, kept ready for anything that gets too close.
- A torch: Several chambers past the antennas run darker than the surface biomes.
- Two Croakwursts: These throwable explosives are what crack the gum open once you reach the cinder block, and a spare covers you if the first throw does not fully clear it.
| Item | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Diving gear | Full Set | Full Diving Suit (helmet, chestplate, boots) |
| Healing | None | 3+ Bandages |
| Croakwurst | 1 | 2, in case the first throw does not clear the gum |
| Light source | None | Torch equipped before the antenna stretch |
With everything packed, head to the Baseball Cap to start the route below.

How to Get the Sticky Fingers Trinket
Once you are geared up, the run to the Rocky Chamber follows one continuous path from the Baseball Cap to the cinder block. Follow these steps in order, since a couple of the jumps only line up correctly from specific spots along the way.
The Grounded 2 Interactive Map can help you spot the baseball cap and other surface landmarks before you set out; treat its markers as a general reference, since exact in-game positioning can shift slightly between updates.
- Start at the baseball cap with the landmark on your right, then head straight ahead until you reach a set of hanging chains.
- Cross on a Toe Biter Buggy if you have one tamed. It closes the distance to the chains far faster than swimming or walking it.
- Jump through the chains and continue left toward a cluster of antennas standing up from the ground.
- Head straight over the antennas toward the light pylon just behind them, ignoring the robots patrolling this stretch.
- Pass the pylon and continue toward the jet stream sitting behind it.
- Launch off the jet stream at roughly 80 degrees into the cliff face ahead of you. A shallower 60-degree launch drops you short of the ledge above.
- Face the cinder block directly, then use the second jet stream to launch yourself straight onto it.
- Hop off your buggy once you land, then throw a Croakwurst at the gum sitting on top of the block.
- Throw a second Croakwurst at the same spot if the first one does not visibly clear the gum away.
- Grab the trinket once the gum is gone, checking the ground around the cinder block since the blast can knock it a short distance.

What the Sticky Fingers Trinket Does
Equipping Sticky Fingers lets you pull a resource part directly off an insect while attacking it, instead of waiting to finish the kill and loot the body. A fight no longer needs to end in a kill for you to walk away with parts, which speeds up routine farming against common bugs.
Try it against the next few bugs you fight in Brookhollow Park to see the steal trigger firsthand, rather than saving it for a dedicated farming trip.

Farming Bug Parts Just Got Faster
With Sticky Fingers equipped, head back out to any patch of bugs in Brookhollow Park to put it to work, or push deeper into the Abyss itself, since the Into the Abyss update added new gear, creatures, and areas well beyond this one trinket.

FAQs
Does Sticky Fingers only work on insects, or can you steal from any creature?
Sticky Fingers only triggers on regular insects, the same bugs you would normally kill and loot for parts. It lets you take that part mid-fight instead of waiting for the kill, and it works on common bugs across both Brookhollow Park and the Abyss.
Can you use Sticky Fingers outside the Abyss, or is it limited to that biome?
Sticky Fingers works anywhere insects show up, not just inside the Abyss, since its steal effect targets regular bugs rather than a creature unique to that biome. It is worth keeping equipped for everyday farming runs around Brookhollow Park, not just the Rocky Chamber trip.
Does equipping Sticky Fingers take up one of your normal trinket slots?
Yes, Sticky Fingers occupies a standard trinket slot like any other trinket in Grounded 2, rather than sitting in a separate category of its own. You can swap it out whenever your build calls for something else, then re-equip it later without repeating the Rocky Chamber run.
What if you don’t have a Croakwurst, will another explosive break the gum?
This spot has only been tested and confirmed to work with Croakwurst throws, so treat other explosives as unconfirmed until proven otherwise. Bringing two Croakwursts before you go remains the safest way to guarantee the gum clears on this run, rather than risking a wasted trip.
What tier is the Sticky Fingers trinket, and does tier change how it performs?
Obsidian Entertainment’s patch notes don’t break down individual trinket tiers, so the exact tier isn’t officially confirmed at the time of writing. What is confirmed through testing is the effect itself, which performs the same regardless of what tier it eventually turns out to carry.
